Community

"THE BIBLE OOZES COMMUNITY..."

The Bible is all about community. God said in Genesis 2, before sin entered the world, that it was not good for man to be alone. We were made to be a part of a community....there is no such thing as a "Lone Ranger Christian". RUF seeks to be a community of students learning how to love God and learning how to love our neighbors. In that vein, as a community, we enjoy spending time together and having a good time together, whether at movie nights, game nights, tacky Christmas party, Halloween party, Lowcountry boils, intramurals, the RAC (including Southern's ropes course), or just hanging out on Sweetheart Circle together. In the Bible there are numerous feasts and parties that are thrown and encouraged. Who are we to disobey? RUF loves the truth of God's Word, and we love to have a good time together. We'd love for you to join us in this endeavor.

"...AND IT'S NOT UNTIL THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT IT GETS A NAME - THE CHURCH."

There are many great churches in Statesboro, and RUF loves the church. RUF is the denominational ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), so we have denominational connections to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Statesboro. All of the RUF staff worships there, and we'd love for you to join us! Joshua teaches a Sunday School class which you are all welcome to attend. Sunday School is at 9:30 am and the Worship service is at 10:45 am.

As Christians, we're all on the SAME TEAM, so we also love the church at large. So if you've grown up Baptist, Methodist, Non-denominational, etc. there are several good churches in those denominations in town.

Southbridge Community Church

First Baptist Church of Statesboro

Connection Church

Pittman Park Methodist Church

And we're also aware that the church is very broken, including RUF, so if you've checked us out and decide we're not the campus ministry you want to call home during your time in Statesboro, there are several other good campus ministries at Southern.
